First save, or rename your original file "mytest.py" and "mytest.pyo" in /usr/lib/enigma2/python and the original file "StbHardware.pyo" in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Tools on the stb.
Put the folder "usr" directly to your stb. Then restart the Gui.
!!! All is tested and works without the "workaround" with the "fp_control"-file, or any script !!!
On the Gm Triplex is/was the same problem with the vfd
.

Have this fix been implemented in images, for Amiko Alien 2 at least? Or not?
I have a GI Avatar 2 and time in VFD display is wrong. I have latest 5.1 image and I see wrong time, my time location is GMT.

The issue reappears under version 5.3.
No one of the solutions posted since 2014 is working.
Will try again with version 5.1....
