    DVB-T SPARK IMG - SPARK 7111 (2x DVB-S) SPARK 7162 (1 x DVB-T, 2 x DVB-S)

    Can someone PLEASEEEEEEE someone smart

    SPARK 7162 IMAGE HAS A DVB-T DRIVER

IT IS TOO SLOW AND SKINS DO NOT FUNCTION
IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE IT AS FAST AS THE DVB-S DRIVER IN THE ABOVE IMAGES........EVEN IF YOU LEAVE SOME CODE OUT AND DON'T USE IT WITH THE SKINS

in the kernel...................................someone.. make it fast

    NO REPLY JOEL

looks like it will never happen *SIGH* absolutely useless these people.
Shocked and baffled why they keep producing image after image yet never even replying to the poor users that have to use this 7162 image and the poor poor DVB-T side problems
The only thing I can think is they have never scanned in Terrestrial channels and hit the INFO button themselves. Please developers try a little harder and help us poor 7162 users with this prob

Amiko Alien 2 - worst set box I have ever owned

I have tried contacting the software authors of Spark - despite boasting about having 100 technical engineers they told me they didn't have enough to deal with any bugs and told me to go to the distributor. Of course, I had already tried there and they blamed everything on my ignorance of the setup..I wrote to AmikoSTB and didn't get a reply. The last straw for me was when 2015 began, the timer did not correctly figure out which day the 1-5 (Mon-Fri) repeat timer started on. when I entered that, it went to a Tuesday! The Spark forum (Sparkfans) seems completely dead as well.

Regrettably, the Amiko Alien 2 does not function correctly in E2 (a timer zap freezes the box) and I haven't been able to get any solution from this forum.

I think the obvious conclusion is we have unwittingly bought a dysfunctional product that cannot even perform as well as an old VCR. Undoubtedly, the worst STB I have ever owned and the worst supported item of electronic Equipment I have ever experienced. The absence of concern by all involved from maker to software author to distributor is simply breathtaking.

A big question for me is - is Enigma 2 dysfunctional on other makes of STB?

Sorry m8 but I have had an alien2 for 6 months now and have no problem running e2 on it all I can say is yes it is a bit slow and I use both the cable and sat side on this box , even tried the other images on as well no problems but they all have there little quirks.

popssad, Last time I visited this forum was mid 2014 I think. Because I own this box.

What the above person is saying is that Enigma2 does not function well with the Spark alien 2 hardware.

What I have found after considerable and tiresome testing of a wide range of E2 versions is that, the DVB-T receiver in this box is in fact pretty shit and just too pathetic under Enigma 2. I do not use Enigma2 on Amiko Alien 2 because of this lag when cycling through channels.

As DVB-S both recievers work flawlessly under MetrixHD I do not think this is a problem of the cpu and ram, it's got to be a glitch in the DVB-T terrestrial driver, if you figure out a faster kernel driver, please email me mattwillis02@gmail.com

No one seems to be able to write a faster DVB-T driver. for spark
