zGemma H7S blue screening after trying to install Whooshbuild
Hi.
I have recently purchased a Zgemma H7S which came with OpenATV installed (I think version 6.4, but I am not 100%). I tried installing Whooshbuild Infinity using the terminal as per the instructions on the Whooshbuild site.
After rebooting the box now goes to Blue Screen and goes through a cycle of rebooting. I have been trying to reflash to Open ATV but no success. There is an internal HDD on the box.
Please can you offer assistance on how to recover back to OpenATV?
What I have tried:
Reflashing to a version of Open ATV 6.3 and 6.4
- openATV Nightly Downloads
- Extract files to a USB stick recently formatted to FAT32
- I have tried putting files using the directory structure >Zgemma>H7 and also straight into the top level
- Plug in the USB stick into each of the USB ports and rebooting
- USB stick is 2.0
This seems to do nothing. I am not sure if it is trying to boot of the USB.
Please see the screen shot and the attached log file.

Further notes
- I am able to SSH to the box still.
- I can FTP files to and from the box
- I cannot access the box using the Whooshbuild terminal from my browser.
As I can FTP and access command line I think this should be recoverable, either by trying to get the USB working or by FTPing a new image?

Have you done it like discribed here : http://eopenbox.co.uk/Zgemma-h7/How%...20Firmware.pdf ?
Of course replace the image linked there with openatv image
Tried more than only one usb-stick ?

ThemenstarterHi,
I had not seen that guide - I was not pushing the button under the flap.
I have now recovered the version of Open ATV.
Thanks for your help!
