    H7.AC Cable Reception No Signal

Please help me understand how this works. I have cable TV and can get 70 in the clear channels with an HDHOMERUN box and on my 2 Sony TV's. The cable system is 256-QAM.

I have tried to use the internal MSB1237 (ATSC) tuner to scan channels from my cable.
I see that the atsc.xml file did not have the channel frequencies included that my HDHR list showed.
So I added those frequencies in the xml and saved it in the H7.

Signal finder shows no signal when the frequencies are selected. Scans of course come up with no channels.

Is the driver for the tuner incorrect?
I cannot find a dedicated tuner driver in my system. It looks like embedded in the kernel. Because there is text in a .ko file, just no installed driver for the MSB1237 (ATSC) tuner.

If the tuner is working is the Broadcom receiver/demodulator not working or has incorrect firmware?

Please help me to find a tuner that will work, correct driver for the one that is in the H7
Or if the chipset needs a module to decode 256-QAM.

The Si2169D DVB-S tuners work fine on C Band satellite.

    Regards.

Drivers for the internal tuners are usually the responsibility of the manufacturer. You need to contact Zgemma about the driver information. Good Luck with that.

Hauppauge has some DVB-C tuners. Three Hauppauge ATSC or cable usb tuners are supported in most enigma2 images. But I do not think any of the three will work in your receiver due to the internal ATSC tuner causing a conflict. At least they did not the last time I tried.

    Port A: Astra 19.2
    Port B: Hotbird 13.0
    Port C: Astra 23.5
    Port D: Astra 28.2
