erst mal Grundlagen erarbeiten....

In https://github.com/OpenAR-P/tdt-arp images (sti7111) RAM is 140MB and you can use the system without any swap file, but in OpenATV RAM is 90MB and always is fully used. The AR-P is an open source project and anybody can use the code with a note about the authors

Vardan has a valid point!
I think, generally speaking, out of the teams that I know, OpenATV, OpenSPA and some others are amongst the teams whose images are the biggest and full of stuff that one doesn't really need. If one needs it one can additionally add it later on...
At the other end of the spectrum are AR-P and PB Team, with minimal images.
In the end, one can choose an image, no problem there.
However, one can also suggest, in good faith, in the best of spirits, that some changes might be in order, if memory is always too full. Therefore, Vardan's point in constructive, I believe!
We should all learn from one another - that is the beauty of Open Source!

Deutscher Text unten:
There is maybe still some drawback with my RTC approach. If the time switches back and forth from daylight savings time it may not properly detected by the box because the RTC offset is only set once at boot time. So a workaround could be restarting enigma in case of DST switch. I decided to implement the same logic already used for gigablue and INI. In my first approach I patched dvbtime.cpp but this seems less portable and less obvious.
