    Need your cooperation

In connection with the BackupSuite I'm doing some research, on the different brands and models receivers and the different images, for a better understanding of the use and layout flashmemory.

I'm looking for the information about the memory size/layout etc. of different receivers. It doesn't matter if the receiver is supported by Openpli or not, I'm looking for all current brands/models using enigma2.

For an easy collection of some data it is sufficient to run enclosed script, the resulting log file I'm interested in.

The log file can be found in /tmp/ and is called extract.log
You can e-mail the log (e-mailaddress shown on screen) or just place the resulting log file here as an attachment in this topic, please also report your brand and model of your receiver.

To run the script you could act as follows:
    Unpack the enclosed: extract.rar
    Open a telnet session
Copy the script extract.sh to /tmp/
    give the command
    Code:
    chmod 755 /tmp/extract.sh
Run the script with the command:
    Code:
    /tmp/extract.sh
Please supply the resulting log file /tmp/extract.log.

After a reboot the /tmp folder is cleared so no need to tidy up afterwards.

I really would appreciate your cooperation!

We use in openatv a python-backup which was initially based on your script version - thx therefore.
The python-backup uses informations from boxbranding to properly create a backup on different boxes (mtd's, parameters, ubi/jffs2, path-layout for flashmedium...).

Yes, I'm aware of it. Where can I find a overview of the boxbranding items?

I'm trying to understand a little bit more of the whole UBI/UBIFS things and try to compare the layouts of different brands and models, especially the -c parameter of MKFS.UBIFS is a bit puzzling me.

Thanks to all who participated (also via PM and e-mail).

I don't need log files any more.

    Again thanks.
