Problem with internal HDD, flashexpander, mounts.....

I ask for help for a problem that concerns the recognition of the hard disk drive . I had installed the OpenATV 4 of AzboxHD Premium, equipped with internal Hard Disk 1TB . I was able , via Mini Partition Tool to format the HD with a 1.5 GB partition ( ext2 hdb1 ) and by a 998.5 GB ( hdb2 , ext3 , actually the size was smaller ) . I was able to install flashexpander in the first partition , while the second was used in the recordings, for timeshifting and was shared on the network with samba. With the various updates that had followed had some things that were not working well, so I decided to start from scratch even reformatting the hard drive ( whenever reinstallavo flashexpander reloading all the saved configuration on hdb1 ) . I tried to recreate the partitions from my PC , using ext3 and ext4 , I also tried to format the disk directly from the decoder ( the menu OpenATV not allow me to create partitions , but if I try to install eparted do not know why it should not be even after a reboot ) . In any case in media / hdd does not mount the hard drive but , I think, the internal memory. If I try to write about something tells me not enough space . I say that is because the internal memory when I tried to flash the firmware without connecting the hard drive, from windows I could see the same folders and timeshift movies in which I could not write anything for lack of space. I've already checked the fstab file but there is no line where any path is mounted in media / hdd .
What I am asking is this:
    - Where do I find the line that mounts the internal memory in / media / hdd ?
    - Can you tell me why I can not install eparted ? With flashexpander already installed I was able to load it.
    Thanks

    dmesg

    output from telnet please

I just tried to reformat the HD but eparted gave me an error on the first partition and created me only the second (for the first changed the filesystem from ext3 to ext4 but did not format). Via telnet I formatted the first partition and I believe that the latter (2 GB) has called the hdb2, while the second partition to the 998 GB has called hdb1. In case you need to start from scratch is not a problem, just that I know once and for all how to proceed.

You should use the internal disk not multi-partitioned, but as a single partition in ext4. That should work.Try to initialize the device fresh and clean.
Some Boxes even don't bootup with a disk connected, that was devided into more than one partition external by Windows or Linux.

Until a few days ago I was working with all the internal disk and 2 partitions. My only problem is that I do not know if flashexpander needs its own partition. What happens when I read the disk from windows dell'azbox? I'll see the folders of Flashexpander? At the moment I'm trying with 2 partitions (1st 2GB Ext3 and 2nd 998GB Ext2). Later I'll retry with 1 partition only in ext4.

OK. Then your systems seems to understand the partitions, but mismatched the mounts. the partition with 998GB should be mountet as /media/hdd for propper operations. At the moment, the 2GB part is mounted to /media/hdd, so you see that via cifs on your pc. Try BLUE, mountmanager or so to fix the mountpoints of your disc.

Is it better using ext4 instead of ext3?
When I press BLUE - MountManager, I can't see any device... Is it normal? Is this menu used only to fix with 4 color button/options?
I'll tell you tomorrow if I could do something.
    Thanks

No. BLUE, Mounts, (in german next point is Laufwerksverwaltung) maybe Drive management (mount partitions...). There you should see your drive with the actual mounts.

Still does not work ! I'll explain the steps I followed to reinstall everything :

    - I formatted the hard disk directly from the decoder and , without asking me anything, it was formatted in a single ext3 partition
    - I sent Firmware + kernel with AzUp ( with Format application area active) .
    - I downloaded and installed in the only partition on the hard disk Flashexpander
    - I activated the 512 MB swapfile which is created in the / usr
    - I downloaded and installed various plugins ( BmediaCenter , etc ...) without having any problem of lack of space

Now, if I'm going from Windows , using Windows Explorer , on \ \ AZBOXHD \ I see that there are two folders, one called " Harddisk " and the other "Root" . In " Harddisk " there are only 2 folders , "movie " and " timeshift " , while in " Root" there are several folders ( . Gstreamer- 0.10 autofs , .... etc. ... hdd .... media, mnt , movie, ...., usr, and var .)

If the decoder try to start a recording I get the message disk full . If I go to Windows Hardisk / movie and I try to copy a file gives me the same disk full error .

If you telnet to do " mount" this is the result :

    azboxhd root @ : ~ # mount
rootfs on / type rootfs (rw )
    / dev/hda1 on / type ext3 (rw, relatime , errors = continue , barrier = 1 , data = ordered )
proc on / proc type proc (rw, relatime )
sysfs on / sys type sysfs (rw, relatime )
tmpfs on / media type tmpfs (rw, relatime , size = 64k )
    / dev/hdb1 on / usr type ext3 (rw, relatime , errors = continue , user_xattr , barrier = 1 , data = ordered )
    devpts on / dev / pts type devpts (rw, relatime , gid = 5, mode = 620)
tmpfs on / var / volatile type tmpfs (rw, relatime )
usbfs on / proc / bus / usb type usbfs (rw, relatime )
    / / 192.168.0.2 / J on / media / net / Hp- Desktop type cifs (rw,relatime,sec=ntlm,unc=\192.168.0.2\J,username= myuser,uid=0,noforceuid,gid=0,noforcegid,addr=192. 168.0.2,file_mode=0755,dir_mode=0755,nounix,server ino,rsize=61440,wsize=65536,actimeo=1)
    / etc / auto.network on / media / autofs type autofs (rw, relatime , fd = 6 , pgrp = 646, timeout = 5, minproto = 5, maxproto = 5, indirect )
nfsd on / proc / fs / nfsd type nfsd (rw, relatime )
    azboxhd root @ : ~ #

If you telnet to do " df" this is the result :

    azboxhd root @ : ~ # df
Filesystem 1K -blocks Used Available Use % Mounted on
    / dev/hda1 181500 166 656 5476 97% /
    tmpfs 64 0 64 0 % / media
    / dev/hdb1 976 607 212 882 120 975 725 092 0% / usr
    tmpfs 51072 452 50620 1 % / var / volatile
    / / 192.168.0.2 / J 849 918 972 242 265 784 607 653 188 29% / media / net / Hp- Desktop
    azboxhd root @ : ~ #

Pressing the BLUE in Mounts available options are " Mount Manager" , "Network Browser" and "Device Manager." The first I question the need to create mounts network , browse the network for the second , the third to mount devices . If I go to the "Device Manager" the internal hard disk is not seen, the page is blank (only in the lower part there are 4 colors with 4 options that have no effect ) .

Another problem I have is that every time I turn on the decoder I will automatically create a "movie " in \ \ 192.168.0.2 \ J ( the network path is mounted to be able to browse the folders on your PC )
