swap management in openATV Image
It's best to have a fast USB stick for SWAP, not HDD, as it has moving parts and one doesn't want HDD to be ON all the time.
Also, on the USB stick one puts EPG, picons, downloads from TSmedia, for instance and so on....
On HDD one only (instant or programme) records and timeshifts... nothing else!
SWAP is good to have when there are large updates, too!

no they are different. You can handle swap by yourself on external device, zswap is part of the image in the RAM,.

ThemenstarterRAM or flash?
I understand that SWAP is complementary to RAM, a kind of virtual working memory, usually that SWAP partition is made on an HDD/DOM/flash, to help when RAM is overwhelmed... So, when it starts "overflowing" the "overspill" goes to SWAP, as if it is RAM...
So, what exactly, where exactly and how big is this ZSWAP, please?
